  • FAQ

I have a custom storage build in the back of my 4Runner, will the mattress still fit?
Yes, if the storage solution creates a level sleeping surface then the mattress will fit.

Why doesn’t the mattress fit earlier 4Runner models?
Earlier 4Runner models have short cargo areas and unique layouts that our current mattress offerings will not fit.

Why aren’t 2010-2013 4Runners with the sliding tray not compatible?
The cargo area with the sliding tray for those years have an uneven surface when the seats are folded flat. The mattress does not account for this uneven surface.

How can I level out the cargo space in my 4Runner that doesn’t have the sliding tray?
Some people opt to build their own platform out of wood. Others prefer to use a thicker blanket or foam pad to level out the rear cargo surface.

MAXIMUM COMFORT & SUPPORT

We built the Luno Air Mattress to put an end to restless, uncomfortable nights camping. Our grid of carefully mapped O-beams flexes to support the areas of your body that need it most. Our Comfort Valve™ gives you the ability to adjust the firmness of each side of the mattress independently. With our tailored design, you’ll enjoy maximum sleeping space and maximum comfort, guaranteed.

Tailored to Your 4Runner

We’ve designed Luno Air Mattresses specifically for the Toyota 4Runner, ensuring you’ll have a perfect fit and optimized sleeping area.

SINGLE OR DOUBLE OPTIONS

Every Luno Air Mattress is made of two joined air chambers. If space is a hot commodity, simply deflate one side for a single mattress setup; if maximizing comfort is the goal, inflate both sides for plenty of wiggle room.

Durable Fabric

We know you like adventure and you need your gear needs to keep up. With that in mind, we’ve designed the Luno Air Mattress with 300-denier Oxford fabric that can stand up against just about anything—pet claws, pine needles, wood chips, and more.

Easy Up, Easy Down

Ditch the tent poles and discover something better. The Luno Air Mattress can be inflated in just two minutes with the included electric air pump and can be packed up even more quickly. Simply roll it up and pack it away—no cursing required.

Design by Experience

We designed the Luno Air Mattress because we needed it ourselves. As a team of experienced product designers and outdoor enthusiasts, we’ve thought through every angle of the car camping experience because we’ve had to endure backaches and long nights too. It’s all about nailing the details for a better night’s sleep in your car.

Air Mattress

Solid mattress. Comfortable, spacious, and easy to use! Bought this for a trip to Grand Canyon. My fiancé and I got married and slept on it on our wedding night! I’m 6’ tall and was just a couple inches too tall to fit perfectly. Still a great product. My wife is 4’11” and fit great. She was sound asleep! Can’t wait to use it again this summer when I head up to the PNW.

So comfortable!

I slept so well in the back of my 4Runner with this mattress. It inflates in minutes and is just as easy to deflate and roll up to put away. I love it and am getting another for my son.

Solid Mattress- Not for Winter Camping

I spent a few weekends camping and ice climbing in my 4Runner in Alaska. I loved the comfort and the space taken up by the mattress. Its perfect to blow up one half and leave the other half of the cargo space for gear storage and food for 3 nights. When not in use, it packs down extremely well into its sack and stores out of the way. I have no issues keeping it in my car at all times.

But the mattress has no insulation properties. In 20 degree temperatures, the mattress became very cold 2 hours after I shut off the car. A couple blankets between my sleeping bag and the mattress solved the problem to an extent, but it would not have been enough if temps had decreased below 10 degrees.

I also would want the cord on the air pump to be longer. Currently, the cord is only 8-10 feet, and I have to route it through one side of the car, pump one side, unplug, then route through the opposite side to inflate both chambers of the mattress. Its cumbersome and a rigid concept. I would appreciate a longer cord on the pump to give me some more flexibility in how I use the system.

Overall- its a comfortable mattress that fits perfectly in the back of the 4Runner, and its a product I would buy again. The lack of insulation and the short cord limit its uses and concept. Its a solid 3 season car camping solution, and if Luno comes out with an insulated option I would buy that too.

Very pleasantly thrilled

My expectation level was the following: I was hoping to at the very least get a decent night’s sleep on my new mattress. What happened instead was that I found my Luno to be as comfortable as my high end mattress at home. I woke up totally refreshed and ready to have another great day of adventuring.

Excellent fit for a 2008 Nissan Xterra

I have to say that I'm impressed with this mattress, and I'm a difficult person to please. Is it perfect? No, but it's pretty close. My Xterra build has been years in the making. I've used sleeping pads, air mattresses, and foam mattresses. Comfort-wise, you can't beat memoryfoam. But it's bulky and it doesn't fit perfectly. Especially when I want it to fit without having to remove my ice chest. As such, I've been looking for a mattress that is versatile, durable, and comfortable and this one checks all the boxes.

I spend a lot of time sleeping out of my Xterra. Whether I'm doing a multi-state trip with my motorcycle on the back, or I'm spending a few days in one place with friends for a weekend. It's great quality and actually sleeps pretty warm by comparison to other lofty air beds. It is very quiet and packs down easy and compact. The air pump with the cord is not an issue for me. It has quite a bit of power and during my camping trip last weekend, we wound up using mine to inflate all of the air mattresses because of how quickly and reliably it got the job done vs the others.

All in all I'm a fan. Yeah, it's a little pricey but you get a lot of quality, versatility and comfort for what you pay for. I had zero issues with this bed losing air. And I really do love the I flate/deflate valves too.

Note: If you have an Xterra, you will need something to occupy the floor space behind the drivers and passenger seat. Mine didn't come with the cubes, but luckily I have already…
