I have to say that I'm impressed with this mattress, and I'm a difficult person to please. Is it perfect? No, but it's pretty close. My Xterra build has been years in the making. I've used sleeping pads, air mattresses, and foam mattresses. Comfort-wise, you can't beat memoryfoam. But it's bulky and it doesn't fit perfectly. Especially when I want it to fit without having to remove my ice chest. As such, I've been looking for a mattress that is versatile, durable, and comfortable and this one checks all the boxes.
I spend a lot of time sleeping out of my Xterra. Whether I'm doing a multi-state trip with my motorcycle on the back, or I'm spending a few days in one place with friends for a weekend. It's great quality and actually sleeps pretty warm by comparison to other lofty air beds. It is very quiet and packs down easy and compact. The air pump with the cord is not an issue for me. It has quite a bit of power and during my camping trip last weekend, we wound up using mine to inflate all of the air mattresses because of how quickly and reliably it got the job done vs the others.
All in all I'm a fan. Yeah, it's a little pricey but you get a lot of quality, versatility and comfort for what you pay for. I had zero issues with this bed losing air. And I really do love the I flate/deflate valves too.
Note: If you have an Xterra, you will need something to occupy the floor space behind the drivers and passenger seat. Mine didn't come with the cubes, but luckily I have already…
