As the name suggests, the AIR Truck Bed Mattress is designed to turn your truck bed into, well, an actual bed. The cutouts and overall shape of the mattress reflect the typical positioning of truck wheel wells, again minimizing wasted space and maximizing sleeping real estate.

However, not all truck beds are built to the same specs, so you’ll find two AIR Truck Bed Mattress options available: one for mid-size five-foot beds, and another for mid-size six-foot beds.

The five-foot bed option comes with two Tailgate Buddies—inflatable rectangles that allow you to drop the tailgate and extend your mattress to an impressive length of six feet and seven inches. AIR XRD 4Runner Mattress

The raven-black mattress doesn’t just look badass–it’s actually crafted from a lighter, stronger, stain-resistant, cold-resistant, 300-denier nylon ripstop. If you like to camp in the winter, considering the XRD is a smart move.

The other distinguishing feature of the XRD mattress is the zipper, which bisects the two halves of the mattress. Most Luno mattresses feature a double-sided design, with two mattress halves that can be inflated separately. This allows campers to customize firmness to their liking, and, if camping solo, to inflate one side and fold the other underneath, saving space in the trunk for gear.
