Cargo Hammock

I finally had the opportunity to use the products I purchased. The cargo hammock, while the concept is a great idea, the product did not work in my application. It hung too low over my raised bed and was intrusive without offering the storage space I needed. I am disappointed because I really like this idea. It also had hanging threads which should’ve been caught in quality control. And just a note that they’re very strict on the 30 day and then camping return policy. I didn’t have a chance to use my products for two weeks after they were received. And then was out camping with the hammock for a week. By the time I returned home, it was past 30 days and I was denied a return.

I really wanted this to work. However, after setting this up, no one is able to sit in the rear middle seat. The passengers in the side seats also have to be careful from hitting their heads on the hammock. It hangs low and doesn't stay up. Eventually, i think it will hang even lower after being used more. I wouldn't recommend this.

Got it installed but had to do some tying knots in the rear hatch straps to make them very short so that it could be pulled back far enough in my Subaru Crosstrek. This made the straps hanging down excessively long but I managed those by folding them up, securing them with hair ties and binder clips.

Finally got everything tight to the ceiling of the car after an hour of fiddling around. I think its going to work out ok. PLEASE make a medium and a small size for smaller cars. Use the same design but just make a couple of sizes smaller. The leather part that it folds up into cannot be pulled completely straight with all the straps pulled tight and maxed out. Also the clear plastic pouch for viewing a tablet through arrived with white residue all over it. I’ve run across this with other products and have found that if comes off with a clean cloth and rubbing alcohol.
