    Leaky Valves

The first time I used the mattress it worked great. The 2nd time the passenger side didn’t hold air and I thought maybe I folded it wrong to store it. Well needless to say the 3rd time using it the same thing occurred. Passenger sides valves leak. One day companies will catch on to valves that screw tight like other brands.

    worked until it didn't

I got it as a gift, and the first season it worked great. I traveled across the country and lived out of my car for about a month with it, posting and promoting and referring followers to go get one. The following year, I talked about how great it was and took them camping, only to notice it started leaking on one side of a corner seam. I gave the better side to my friend and it seemed okay for the weekend for her while i had to inflate mine in the middle of the night. I contacted customer service and they said since I didn't have the extended warranty (didn't know that was a thing,) I would have to pay to send it in for them to give me a 15% discount. Since the 15% would have been a wash with shipping costs, I tried to use a seam seal and it just started leaking somewhere else. I tried just using it for solo trips and using the "good" side, but that started leaking too. Then I found out and influencer I chat with on IG got a free one and got paid to do an Instagram reel for them and never even car camped before that, so I felt completely under valued as a customer who had a friend pay good money for mine. Now I see they extended the warranty and am not surprised why. but now I'm out of the window again... silly loopholes. I've held on it and tried to fix it because it makes me sick seeing a 300$ mattress go to a landfill after less than 2 years of use, but now I'm having to cut my losses and figured I'd share my experience. Maybe the newer and even more expensive one is…

Should have held up better under normal use

Our Luno mattress failed after 12 months, used four times inside our 4Runner while family camping. On the last two trips, air started slowly leaking through the seams and it was flat on one side by morning. By the time I realized it wasn't user error (e.g. not fully closing the valve) the warranty period had passed. I used an entire tube of seam sealer to try and fix the defective seam as recommended by Luno support (who were great), but it is still slowly losing air. For a "premium" priced product, I really feel like it should have held up longer or had a better warranty.

    Overpriced Meh

First off, was sent a non-functional air pump with my order. I pulled it open, it was never even wired. After a week, they got ahold of me to tell me I needed to fill out a warranty form to get my defective gear replaced. After another week they sent a totally different pump but that one worked.

The mattress itself is fine, fits a Gen 4 Outback ok and holds air. However, if you’re a more savvy shopper than me there’s a model online, you can probably guess where, literally 1/3 of the price that looks exactly the same with the same specs.
