AIR+FOAM Pro Jeep Wrangler Mattress

My girlfriend and I took the AIR+FOAM Pro Car Camping Sleep Kit on a long road trip along the California and Oregon coasts with our two dogs in our Land Cruiser, and we loved the freedom it gave us. Instead of planning campsites in advance, we could spend the day exploring and simply find a place to dispersed camp with the iOverland app whenever we were done driving for the day.

It was especially convenient when we were moving from place to place because it saved us 30 minutes to an hour of setting up and breaking down a campsite each day. The bed is always ready to go. We just parked and went to sleep. In the morning, we could get right back on the road.

We ended up with more time to explore and never felt tied to a campsite or check-in/out time. Considering how many nights the four of us slept comfortably in the car instead of paying for hotels or campsites, the kit will quickly pay for itself.

I am not terribly impressed, honestly it just feels like an overpriced mattress, the price definitely includes all the hype and the advertisement, but when it comes to the the very use of it, you will soon deflate, lol, a lot faster than the mattress deflates on it's own. Speaking of that, the biggest drawback (and the mis-advertisement for that matter) is the self-inflation/deflation of the mattress. This is what struck me right away, I was very disappointed. 15 minutes after opening the thing, it was still flat. After the initial hiss of air when I opened the valve, nothing else really happened. Not until I helped it with blowing air in myself. That is the biggest disappointment. You will be nowhere near doing this fast, so I suggest Luno, please take that out of your advertisement. The zipper does not securely lock when you put the two mattresses together, it keeps unzipping at the slightest movement. If I was to pay a fair price for this, I would not spend more than $100. I, as many others fell for the hype and advertisement. Back to my old good Cabellas air mattress that years later, still works like charm.

Great comfort. As a solo camper I absolutely love unzipping to use only 1 half.

The model Y version was too long for me so I got the subcompact size. Now I no longer have to slide the front seats forward. I can sit up front or as a solo camper I only fold 1 rear seat down & use the other to sit in & as a night stand.

Really disappointed with this order so far. We specifically delayed our road trip departure until tomorrow morning so we could wait for our Luno mattress and accessories to arrive today. Unfortunately, the order arrived incomplete and is missing 2 Head Support Bridge Attachments, the Cinch Panel Storage Wrap, the 12V Electric Air Pump, and the Repair Patch.

The missing pump is especially frustrating because it means we can’t even properly inflate and use the mattress we purchased for this trip.

I’ve reached out to Luno directly and am hoping they can address this urgently today since we leave first thing tomorrow morning. I’m happy to update this review if they’re able to resolve the issue quickly, but at the moment it’s extremely disappointing to have waited for the delivery only to receive an incomplete product that we can’t use as intended.

Luno is a movement. The amount of success I’ve had relating to the idea of customizing your vehicle into more than a machine is uncomprehendable. Ready to take this to a higher level and make it to the remains of Zelandia with this same vehicle set up although the hellcat engine would give me a little more speed than the hemi so if i could just grab one of those we’d be great. I also need scuba gear because im going IN when i win this trip. And a spear gun because no one knows what lurks below the world’s unknown.
